Pangloss Cellars is a vibrant celebration of Sonoma’s rich diversity in grape varieties. Named after the eternal optimist Dr. Pangloss from Voltaire’s satire Candide (1759), our wines and team embody the spirit of optimism. Like Dr. Pangloss, we believe optimistic thinking is not only the best way to live one’s life, but is also behind making truly great wines.
From crafting single-vineyard selections from some of Sonoma’s most enduring sites to restoring our Tasting Lounge, a local landmark, to its former glory, Pangloss is dedicated to showcasing Sonoma not only as the birthplace of California but as the centerpiece of its wine industry as well. With over 4,000 square feet of indoor space at the Tasting Lounge, we offer a variety of different experiences by prior reservation only.
