Transcendence for All

Join us in making theatre more accessible to all

By creating arts education and community engagement programs that instill a love of the arts, we help to build a more diverse audience, and strive to make a positive impact in people’s lives.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

To deepen our commitment to the community, Transcendence has made even more tickets accessible this summer, through the expansion of the Transcendence for All initiative. Through the initiative, we have lowered ticket prices, so that locals and visitors alike can now find tickets for as low as $25, and families can enjoy $5 youth tickets on Sundays. As of July, 40% of all tickets are now under $50.

Outreach Projects

Transcendence Artists are active not only onstage but also in support of our community. From free performances to donating our time and talents through theatre camps and workshops, our full company plays a vital role in outreach that enhances and cultivates our relationships within the community.

Since 2022, we have partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma Valley to provide free workshops that build confidence and share the joy of musical theatre. The youth also enjoy a behind-the-scenes opportunity to attend a Transcendence rehearsal and meet the artists.

Skits Under the Stars

Skits Under the Stars is a free night of art and music designed to bring the entire community together. Set in inspiring locations across Sonoma County, Skits Under the Stars encourages aspiring artists to bring their work to share, and to help people achieve their own moment of transcendence.

Community Night

Transcendence is excited to celebrate our second Pride Night at our August 17 performance of Dancing in the Street at the Sonoma Field of Dreams! This community night is an evening where LGBTQIA+ folks and allies came together in an affirming space and showcased their unique PRIDE, however they choose to express it. We look forward to celebrating Community Nights like Pride Night for generations to come, as every member of our Sonoma community deserves to feel transcendent today and everyday.

*A portion of all wine and beverage sales was donated to Face 2 Face and Positive Images, local participating LGBTQIA+ nonprofits.

American Sign Language interpretation

At our July 1 performance of The Beat Goes On at Belos Cavalos Ranch, Transcendence was proud to provide an American Sign Language interpretation in partnership with Communique Interpreting in Santa Rosa. We look forward to providing further accessibility options for future performances.

NonProfit Partners

At every Transcendence performance we partner with a local non-profit to bring awareness to their mission and raise funds to support their great work in our community. 5% of beverage sales from the entire season’s run will be donated to these nonprofits to support their important work in the community.

In our 2023 Summer Season, Transcendence was proud to partner with the following nonprofits:
