A native of Vallejo, CA, Josh joined the US Marine Corps band in 1998. After graduating the Armed Forces School of music, Josh was stationed with Marine Band San Diego. After his enlistment, Josh graduated with a BA in Music from CSU Chico and embarked upon a 5 year career playing trumpet in cruise ship orchestras. Having performed in over 70 countries, Josh moved back to California in 2015, got married and moved to Sonoma in 2020.
