Walden has established themselves as a rising star in the world of theater. Their journey to success includes notable achievements in both directing and choreography. As the associate director and associate choreographer for the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Ragtime, Walden showcased their exceptional ability to bring stories to life through movement and staging.
In addition to their work on Broadway, Walden has also made their mark in the realm of television. Their contributions as a choreographer for Disney+’s Encore demonstrate their versatility and adaptability as an artist. By adding their unique vision to each project they undertake, Walden consistently delivers captivating and memorable performances that resonate with audiences. Other choreographer credits include productions at the Kennedy Center, Drury Lane Theatre, The Muny, Sacramento Music Circus, Signature Theatre, Olney Theatre Center, Gateway Playhouse, and Des Moines Metro Opera.
Before taking the helm as a director and choreographer, Walden was a performer, gracing the Broadway stage in esteemed productions such as 42nd Street, La Cage aux Folles, A Chorus Line, and Ragtime, and seen Off-Broadway in Cagney, Seussical, and The Awesome 80s Prom. Their experience as a performer informs their creative choices, allowing them to understand the nuances of storytelling from both the performance and creative sides.
Walden graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama, where they honed their skills and cultivated a deep understanding of their craft. Armed with a strong foundation in theater, they embarked on a career that continues to impress and inspire.
