“I Can Do That”

“My first summer in the ‘field of dreams’. I was fresh out of college. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life in regards to being in the performing arts, and how to navigate that field as an amputee. I love to sing, I love to dance, I love to act, and I didn’t really know how to do it all together in this new…body, literally in this new body. I figured out [here] how I could be part of the industry and this wonderful community of artists.”

“I Wanna Be A Dancin’ Man”

The song “…Dancin’ Man” has brought me incredible joy and inspiration since experiencing Broadways “Fosse” at the Broadhurst Theatre in the spring of 2001. The melody, lyrics, and orchestrations combine brilliantly with Bob Fosse’s simply effective choreography. Honoring Fosse, Dylan Smith and Amanda Lehman created this version for Transcendence’s 2015 “Rhythm of Life”. To share this ultimate dancer’s credo alongside a team of wildly stunning, and highly respected performers is most definitely a lifetime highlight!

I had a phenomenal chat recently with a dancer whose life mission is to use her art and whole heart as an act of service to others. Alicia Albright so eloquently reminded me that whether or not you have the ability and courageousness of our medical front-liners or financial strength to donate at will, we all have the offering of love. This team offers huge love in the form of song and dance and I sincerely hope you enjoy it!

The Grass is Always Greener Performance

“I get by with a little help from my friends.”   If there is one thing I have learned from my extraordinary friendships, it is to laugh through the wild ride of life. I love the sound of people that love laughing. I hope today that you have a sincere belly laugh and appreciate every essence of its simple ability to shift a mood and uplift one’s spirit. We can’t wait to share joy in the field of dreams again.
