Stephan Stubbins, co-Executive Director, CMO of Transcendence Theatre Company
Stephan graduated from Webster University with a BFA in Theatre. He is the co-Executive Director and Chief Marketing Officer of Transcendence Theatre Company. After planting in Sonoma with a shoe-string marketing budget and no contacts in 2011, under Stephan’s marketing leadership Transcendence has inspired over 81,000 patrons and grown from a $40K company to a $2.4M company in its first five years. As the co-founder and President of The Theatre Mafia, he was the proud co-creator and co-designer of the popular NYC acting industry webpage UltimateTheatreHomepage.com (in operation until 2010), as well as life and business classes for aspiring Broadway artists new to New York City. Stephan has a diverse business background including employment for over a year with the hedge fund Cerberus Capital Management in NYC, working on concert events with Barry Manilow, Ben Vereen, Sutton Foster, Martin Short, Jason Alexander, and Megan Hilty, appearing as a guest teacher for NYU, the University of Michigan, and the Educational Theatre Association (EDTA), and experience as a performer on Broadway and on Television.
Stephan’s career as a performer has been highlighted by his time on Broadway in “Mary Poppins,” in the pre-Broadway world premiere of “Memphis,” singing an opening act solo for Frank Sinatra, headlining an opening act for Rita Moreno, and working with Broadway, Music, TV, and Film legends on and offstage including Dick Van Dyke, Kristin Chenoweth, Barry Manilow, Ben Vereen, Martin Short, Jason Alexander, Sutton Foster, Rebekah Luker, Conan O’Brien, and more. Stephan can be seen on almost any given week somewhere in wine country singing for a non-profit cause, service group, pet shelter, retirement home, concierge group, or promotional opportunity in support of taking life and art to new levels of transcendence.
Stephan is the Super Ambassador for the Arts for Sonoma County Tourism’s CTA program, the son of the best parents in the world, and the lucky fiancé of the love of his life, Libby Servais.
