“One” Free Community Dance Class

Become a “singular sensation” when Transcendence Theatre Company presents a free group dance class lead by nationally noted choreographer James Cooney instructing the original choreography from “One,” the famous finale of the award-winning Broadway musical “A Chorus Line.”

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday – April 2, 2019 at the auditorium of the Hanna Boys Center, 17000 Arnold Dr, Sonoma, CA 95476.

The class will be followed at 6:45 p.m. by a question and answer session with directors of Transcendence Theatre Company’s upcoming production of “A Chorus Line.”

All participants are welcome and no experience is necessary. Please bring a hat of any style.

Transcendence Theatre Company, the award-winning, Sonoma County based theater company opens its 2019 “Broadway Under the Stars” summer series with the Tony Award     and Pulitzer Prize winning musical “A Chorus Line.”

Conceived, directed and choreographed by Michael Bennett, the groundbreaking musical ran for 6,137 performances on Broadway. When it closed in 1990, “A Chorus Line” achieved the milestone as the longest running Broadway show in history. Transcendence Theatre Company presents “A Chorus Line” from June 14 to June 30, 2019 with weekend evening performances presented outdoors at the Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen, Calif.

Transcendence has produced over 20 free CONNECTS projects for those living with Alzheimer’s, autism, hospital needs, and underprivileged conditions in the last 5 years.


Transcendence has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club, the Mentoring Alliance, Willmar Grief & Healing (SAY), Teen Services Sonoma, and many more on free projects for youth.


Playing an important role in helping to save Jack London State Historic Park in 2012, Transcendence has contributed over $450,000 to the park in last 7 years through Broadway Under The Stars performances.


Transcendence has contributed over $107,000 in free tickets to youth, non-profit organizations, and cause-related fundraisers, in addition to performing for free for over 40 partnering non-profit events.
